The special effects are realistic and believable. The music fits the whole movie, from the choirs to the explosions and car crashes.

 

The story is told through the point of view of a young boy called Samuel. It shows Sam taking his own life, after being bullied at school. Near the end, we learn that his grandmother is the Mystic Messenger. She then pushes her son to go and kill him in her place, so she can enter heaven. We also see other characters from this world to show up, including an evil scientist, a warlord and even the President of the United States.

 

I'm not going to lie to you. The movie had me at times watching in awe as the movie progressed. The acting was very good and the symbolism was obvious and very strong. I personally found the villain to be absolutely ludicrous, almost beyond belief.

 

This movie wasn't for the kid at heart. It probably isn't even for the teenager. But, if you're looking for a movie with an excellent plot and fantastic acting, then The Mystic Messenger is a definite must watch!

 

What makes this movie excellent is its incredible pace. It moves at a very fast pace, and the action scenes are some of the most intense you'll ever see in a movie. I would say the pace is probably more like a stage play rather than a movie, but it's an amazing nonetheless.

 

The villain in this movie is called Necronomiirus. He's a parasite that comes from a previous generation. It's a different kind of disease that attacks people's minds and body. Sam is infected by Necronomiirus and has to start over rebuilding his mind and body from scratch.

 

There is a lot of back story, but I won't go into it here. Suffice to say that the plot is very intricate. It also has some very dark elements as well, including possible murder and bad language. I'm not a big horror guy by any means, but I admit the graphic scenes in this movie did make me uncomfortable.

 

This movie is definitely worth your time. Even if you don't like horror at all, this one is definitely a great place to start. It's a well-paced movie that will keep you thinking and entertained. If you're familiar with the film industry at all, then you'll probably find it pretty easy going through it. I definitely recommend it for anyone looking for a good vampire thriller.
